Another popular choice is the coq au vin, a classic French chicken stew made with red wine, mushrooms, and onions - the kind of dish that will make you feel like you're dining in a countryside bistro in France.

Vegetarian options are also available, with dishes like ratatouille and a rich, creamy vegetable quiche that appeal to those who prefer lighter meals. The variety in the menu ensures that everyone can find something to enjoy, no matter their dietary preferences.

For dessert, you can’t go wrong with the crème brûlée, which has the perfect balance of smooth, creamy custard and a perfectly caramelized sugar top. It’s a sweet ending to a meal full of flavor. And if you're in the mood for something different, their chocolate mousse is rich, decadent, and sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.

One thing that stands out about Restaurant Chez Tante Liesel is its commitment to using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. From the fresh herbs in the ratatouille to the locally caught fish in their seafood dishes, the flavors are always vibrant and fresh. • Tante Liesel served and we ate! this little restaurant in the tourist hot spot „petite france“ is a gem. the restaurant is tiny and feels more like the dining room of your actual aunt Liesel, with plenty of nicknacks decorating the historic building. the menu is short but offers all the traditional classics you absolutely want to try when you’re in Strasbourg/Alsace. we started with the Onion tarte and a salad and then chose the beef bourguignon and the jambonneau with munster cheese and potatoes as main dishes. both were delicious. the portions are big, but save some space for a homemade cake - they’re worth it. staff was absolutely delightful and fluent in french, german and english.

  • Last day of holidays and we wanted something traditional before going back home and....we found it. It is a pretty cozy place with just few tables and the food was amazing. The starters, the main and the delicious cakes that they have. It was a very nice culinary experience.

  • For an authentic french food this place is a good to go. We went there while they were busy but they still served us to perfection. The waitress helped us to decide on the food. The food for cooked to dream. However I really whish they had AC.

  • Eating here really felt like we were just invited by a French aunt into her living room. It is very small but that gives it a unique vibe. The food was really good. Our waiter was nice even though she seemed a bit disinterested some times. All in all though it was a unique experience that I can only recommend!
